253.0. "Spencer & Sierra" by REGENT::WORKMAN () Tue Jun 28 1988 14:44

I thought I would add the names of my niece and nephews since some of them are
a bit different, and I have not seen them in this conference.

Sierra Ann Marie (this is pronounced Sierra like the Mountains, but can
sound a lot like Sarah, especially when pronounced by a child).

Kenneth Lee

Geoffrey Tyler (called Tyler since his father's name is Jeffrey)

Spencer William (I haven't heard Spencer very often)

    Speaking of different names:
I have a sister named Sonja, a brother named Joel, My father named
Igor and my mother Ingeborg. Than of course you have my relatives,
an uncle named Oke one named Runar. Cousins such as Pia, Mia, Carina
and the list goes on and on.

The funny part is my name is the one of the more common names "Linda"

I had never heard of spencer before and then a friend named her little
boy that 2 years ago. Now another friend, due in August and just found
out it's a boy, is considering Spencer too. I wonder if it is
becoming more popular. I didn't like it at first (2 yrs. ago) but it's
grown on me, especially when I see Spencer's sweet little face and so
now I associate the name with a cute little kid.

Does anyone know the origin of this name?

    Loreen
