221.0. "Geeja" by DIXIE1::CLARKGE () Tue May 03 1988 15:36

    Hello,

I have an unusual name and I just thought that I would share
it with you. My name is Geeja. It is pronounced Gee (just like
you say the letter G) and ja (like in just). It's simple, you say
it just like it looks - Geeja.

By the way, my husband and I are expecting our first child December
7th. If it is a boy, I think his name will be William Justin. We
    haven't decided on girls names.

    See ya!

You are the only other person I have ever heard of with that name.
I have a friend named Giga (also geeju). My friend is Swedish,
    however.

I thought I was one of kind. I've never heard
of anyone else named Geeja. Is Geeja (Giga) a Swedish name?
My mom just made my name up when I was born. She said I didn't
look like the name she had picked out for me so she had to think
of something else and she came up with Geeja.

My mother had an Italian friend who's name was Louise - she was
always called "Giga" pronounced "gee-ja" as a nickname. Don't
know why - always assumed it was something Italian.
