| | How about Daniel James?

I'd be careful about a middle name that
starts with a vowel, such as Adam (initials would be D.A.M.),
or Uriah (an unlikely choice, I'm sure, but the initials are
D.U.M.). You are probably aware of such possibilities.

In general, variety of consonant sounds seems to work
better than something alliterative and repetitive such
as "Daniel Mark Machlin", I think. "Daniel James Machlin"
has consonantal variety, and I think you want a one-syllable
name or a simple middle name with "Daniel" as a first name (three
    syllables/sounds).

Good luck. My wife wanted to use "Daniel" if our newborn had
been a boy. I don't care much for the -iel boys' names
(Gabriel, Nathaniel, Daniel, Ariel); Daniel's the best of the
    bunch, I guess.

| | Hi Debbie,

Does this mean you are officially having a boy?? Wish I could help
you with a middle name, but the only things I have experience naming
are cats! Will give it some thought, though.

I got into this notes file on purpose...had a feeling you were going
to post something!! Send me mail. Many times I've typed messages
only to find after sending that your node is down - and of course
I always forget to mail a copy to myself in the process!

    Talk to you soon.

    /Roberta

| | How about 3 syllables?

    Daniel Jeremy Machlin

Or something unusual? My real name is Caroline Natacha B___. But
I was only called Caroline for the first forty five minutes of my
life. You could scream that name out loud right next to me, I wouldn't
bat an eyelid. :-) Or haven't you read a book or seen a movie where
you particularly liked a person in there?

    Beau, Andre', Lawrence ...

| | Okay, Deb,

I thought of some - now don't laugh!!

There are lots of one syllable names; to name a few:

    Paul, Keith, Scott, Glenn

    I prefer Scott myself.

Let us know what you choose.
