I just wanted to know if there are any Esmeralda's out there. My
sister's name is Esmeralda and I have always loved that name. I've
read that it means precious jewel. If I ever have a little girl
I want to name her Alexandria. I like both names very much even
though Esmeralda is my favorite, but I think one Esmeralda in the
family is enough, considering there are only the two of us.
What I would like to know is does anybody know where this name
Esmeralda originated from. I do know it is pretty old.
