126.0. "Mariele" by SHRBIZ::KULP () Mon Sep 21 1987 12:51
I am expecting number two in April - plenty of time you'd think.
However, it took us a month to name our dog and we never really
picked a girl's name we liked for the first baby. Thank goodness
we had a boy!
This time it's the other way around. I think we have found a
girl's name. My husband says it will be a girl so we don't need
a boy's name, but he hasn't convinced me yet. So far Jonathan
David is the forerunner.
Anyway, we found a name in our babyname book that we both liked
immediately for a girl. I am wondering if anyone has ever heard
it before. They had it written as Mariel with variations of
Marielle and Mariele. I like it the last way, Mariele. The book
said it is a Dutch form of Mary. Now I've been trying to think
of a pretty middle name to go with it. So far it's a maybe on
Mariele Christine Kulp. Is that too long? Middle names are tricky
with the el sound before them, ends up sounding like one long name,
or Mary Elsomething.

| What about Renee? It was the first thing that popped into my head
when I saw Mariele. If I think of anymore I'll put them here.
