My father's name is Donald, he did not want any of the boys named
after him. So when my eldest sister was born my parents named her
for both my father and mother. DON for Donald NITA for the feminine
form of the name. Her full given name "Donita Marie",( Marie was
my mother's middle name ). As for the correct meaning, you might
try looking up the name Donald.
