We chose this name about a year before our daughter was born. We
had a waitress whose name was Chalyne (pronounced shal in, short
a) and my husband liked it. I didn't particularly like the pro-
nunciation or the spelling, but I had seen the name we chose for
our daughter in a book and I liked that one. After a little
convincing my husband liked it too. It is pronounced shel in.

This is the closest name I've seen resembling Chelyse (pronounced
Shel ees). I had a friend in high school with this name and I really
liked it because it was so different (and pretty).
I like Chelynne too!
