My grandmother's middle name was Anice, like a-neice. I am planning on using this name for the middle name of my first girl. Has anyone heard of this name before? I know that I had other relatives named ANISE, but it was with an S and pronounced like the spice (a-niss). Carol

I found a spelling "Annice" in my book, under the name Ann. There were many, many variations of that name. Nan, Nancy, Nita, Hannah, and many more. There was also a spelling Annis. Boy, what variety! The name means "graceful" according to this book. Robin | |||||
