91.0. "More family names" by 8233::STEPHENSON () Thu Apr 02 1987 21:49
Whew, I just found out about this file and just finished reading
it. I had a lot of catching up to do!
Anyway, I wanted to add my immediate family's names because
even with all the reading, I'm pretty sure I didn't see the names
in the file.
I don't know the meanings of the names, but if anyone has any
idea, I would like to know what they are.
Dad - James Lincoln - goes by Jim
Mom - Evangeline Mary - goes by Vangie.
I don't know where my grandparents go their names.
Me - Marietta Anna - I go by Etta, you could probably also use Marie,
and Mary. I am mistakenly called Edna alot which, no offense
to the Edna's out there, but I detest. Marietta came from
a nun who was my mom's favorite teacher. I was born on
St. Anne's day, hence came Anna. My first name is pronounced
mar (rhymes with car) ee et tuh. Also roll the r if you can,
and you will have it perfect.
Sis 1 - Janine Marie - was named after one of mom's friends. When
the hospital was filling out the birth certificate, one
of mom's older brothers added Marie. Dad was in Japan so
he had no say so.
Sis 2 - Frederica - Was born on grandpa's birthday. I'll bet you
already guessed his name was Fred, which is what Sis 2
chose to go by after getting into high school. Her previous
nickname was Missy.
Sis 3 - Constance Sabina - Was named after Aunt Constance and great
great grandma Sabina (pronounced suh vee nuh). She now goes
by Connie. When she was little, she was fat and cute so
we called her Tubby. After she got into school, I guess
she decided she didn't like that so much anymore.
Sis 4 - Leslie Ann - My parents were definitely not expecting another
girl and had only boys names picked out. As it turned out
Leslie did not live for more than an hour so mom let the
rest of us girls pick her name.
Sis 5 - Donna Sanay - This is the last one folks! Donna is one
of mom's dearest friend's. Sanay (pronounced suh naa)
is the name of a Korean student that mom was teaching English
to. It is actually a boy's name in Korea but mom liked
it so much, she decided to use it anyway.
Well, that was all of them. Thank goodness, my fingers are tired
