I have two children, one girl age 3 1/2 and one boy age 8 mo.
While my husband and I were dating, we heard my little brother talking
about his girlfriend "Shannon" and fell in love with the name.
Six years later when our first child was born, we knew exactly what
we were going to name her "Shannon Emily". When I got pregnant
the second time, we picked the name "Mia" for a girl but couldn't
decide on a boys name. About a month before my son was born it
just hit us, the same morning we looked at each other and blurted
out "Ryan". It was S T R A N G E.... When my son was born we named
him "Ryan Joseph". It was the perfect name in both cases.
You know how some kids really don't look like their names fit them.
Not mine... both names fit perfectly. My son has strawberry reddish
blond hair....a true looking Ryan with his fair skin. My daughter
on the other hand has bonny brown hair and her skin is "tan" all
year round. In the summer, she gets blond streaks in her hair which
makes her hair look golden brown...really shiny.
Montoya is a Colombian name from my husbands side...
My background is half Irish and half Spanish....McGregor and Flores

My cousin just named her son after my parents (Joseph Bryant and
Connie Ryan). His name is Joseph Ryan Moran.

re Ryan: I have a Ryan - very blond hair with red highlights and
he sure is the little monarch at my house even if he is the second
son of two children. I wish this computer could transmit pictures.
I would love to see some of these kids especially the ones who have
names the same as my kids.
Are there any "Kyle"s out there and what does the name mean?

If my first one (due REAL soon) is a girl, we plan on naming her
Shannon Christine. We, like many of you, didn't want a common name,
but we didn't want the other extreme either. And my wife and I
agree on this choice!
