My name is Audrey Hart and a lot of people have
fun discussing it.
All my life, people have been calling me Aud. As
a youngster, I was very short and small. I would
take offense at the name Aud thinking that people
were calling me Odd. Sometime during highschool
I decided that I didn't mind being called Aud and
that it was different and cute.
I was born with a heart condition so people were
very cautious about calling me Aud Hart in fear
that they may offend me, but I thought this was
an interesting pun.
During my freshman year of college, I needed to
come up with a mailname that would represent me
but not be too common. "Odd heart" did the trick.
Now, here at DEC, my supervisor's name is Audrey.
For a while it was strange for me to hear my name
used so often. I began wondering whether I was
losing my mind when I heard people say that they
were talking about me to about so and so and I had
no memory of the conversation. I got used to this
pretty quickly, though.
One day were talking about lexical twisters. Aud
can really be stunning:
Odd awed Aud awed the odd thing.
I've had a lot of fun with the name AUDREY. My parents
were considering Alison, Alexis and Anthony. I very
glad they made the choice they did.

I have a friend (no kidding) named Audrey and she has aquired the
nicknames:
Aud (Odd)
Auder (Odder) and
Otter.
No punch line here, but one may infer personality from nicknames.

Audi (Oddi-not the car), however, I don't like it so I call her
