The risk of picking a name far in advance...
Friends of ours had settled on the name "Christa"
(from the same root as Christine, etc.) last year,
before the "teacher in space" publicity, because it
seemed like an uncommon name.
Their baby girl was born the day after the shuttle
disaster; I imagine that when Christa gets to school,
it won't be an uncommon name anymore...
Bruce (my wife and I already have our children's names
picked, now we just need the children ;-)

How about Krysta? May sound common but spelling it like this would make
this name truly unique.
