950.0. ""other" stock/bond type investments" by PADC::KOLLING (Karen) Sat Dec 09 1995 22:41
I'm pleased that I bought Dec depository shares, and I've wondered
ever since they were announced why magazines like Money, etc.
write about stocks and mutual funds all the time, but not "other"
(quasi-stock/bond, not real estate, etc.) investments.
As another example, the annual report for the Bramwell Growth Fund
lists among its holdings "variable rate demand notes." I don't have a
clue as to what those are, or if they might be worth my looking into.
Is there some source of info out there that surveys and discusses
"other" investments of this type? Both in general and specific
ones? Thanks.
