894.0. "UtiliCorp United" by SSAG::SUSSWEIN (an adrenal gland is a terrible thing to waste) Wed Jul 26 1995 14:03
Has anyone heard of a company called "Utilicorp United"?
They're the parent company of my gas company, and as a customer I'm
eligible for their stock purchase and dividend reinvestment plan.
basically, it works like this:
- I make an initial purchase of common stock (minimum $250) at market
price (no commission)
- I can make additional monthly purchases (minimum $50), also at market
price with no commission.
- As a shareholder, I can then join the dividend reinvestment plan.
Stock is bought with reinvested dividends at 5% BELOW market price.
Assuming that the stock isn't a total dog this sounds like a pretty
good deal. Any thoughts?
