Ah, another verbose talker :-) Ie. why don't you englighten
the rest of us as to what this company does, who recommended
it to you, and why?

| So sorry, they are a semi-conductor manufacturer. They make memory and
reprogammable chips. Apparently they make the brain behind the
Cadillac driver setting memory system. The recommendation was from a
broker with Lew Lieberbaum. It was a blind solicitation which I
usually do not listen to but for some reason this one sounded
tempting. This was also within the last half hour.
It has seen quite a movement in the past couple of months and the
expectation was for it to go into the $7-8 range.

873.3 | Frank Friendly calling... | ASDG::HORTON | Paving the Info Highway | Wed Jun 07 1995 18:42 | 34 |
| Warning sign No. 1:
Current price is close to the 52-week high,
and floating _way_ above its 52-week low.
Warning Sign No. 2:
Cold call from unknown broker trying to hawk stock.
Warning Sign No. 3:
Small investor, eager to "get in on the action," issues
request for info; no comment on P/E, book value, earnings,
sales, market share, etc.
WSN2 is by far the most disturbing of the three. I regard such
calls as very strong contrary indicators. Buy at your peril.
"Hello?"
"Hi, my name is Frank Friendly. May I speak to Mr. Fleeced?"
"This is he..."
"...ah..."
(unbeknownst to callee, broad grin breaks out on Frank's face)
"...Mr. Fleeced, our research department has uncovered a
remarkable profit opportunity in a quality firm that only
a few people know about..."
[script writers can fill in the rest]

| re: warning sign #3
This info was not offered and he as sort of put off when I alluded that
I would like to go look this stuff up. I will keep an eye on it but
that's about all.
Thanks,
Brian

| As an update to this, I did not buy in based upon my own uneasy
feelings of a cold call but they are now trading at 7 3/16. Not a bad
move for a small issue. The broker called back with another one, TII
industries. I'll watch this one too. They make power surge protection
systems for networking (?).
