856.1 | security/privacy concerns using NETworth "Personal Portfolio"? | UNXA::ZASLAW | Fri May 24 1996 12:00 | 5
NETworth appears to offer customizable portfolio tracking based on their frequently updated database or source of stock prices/mutual fund NAVs. I was wondering if anyone was using this and if there are security/privacy concerns in giving their application the intimate details of one's portfolio.

re: .1 I use the customizable portfolio. As for privacy, I assume that anyone can see what I have in there, even though there is a password required. I have several stocks in my portfolio that I don't really own, but that I like to follow. And, there's no need to put the actual number of shares you own of each stock in the portfolio -- I tend to use it as an easy way of keeping my Quicken database updated, so all I need is current price. Ditto. All the numbers in my portfolio are hypothetical. |
