801.0. "new Digital SAVE funds" by POBOX::CORSON (Higher, and a bit more to the right) Tue Dec 06 1994 17:04

I would like some comment on our *new* Digital SAVE plan. My
initial research in the four major funds - PIMCO Total Return,
Neuberger & Berman Guardian Trust, Templeton Foreign, and Putnam
Voyager - has turned up what appears to be a middle of the road,
higher than normal risk, and underperforming group of sad sack
    mutual funds.
I think we are getting screwed.

see note 330 in NYOSS1::Digital_Investing for a lot of discussion regarding
this issue. Concensus so far is similar to yours.

I have some investments in Templeton Foreign and N/B Guardian (not
Trust) and they have been OK, but not outstanding. I've just install
the new version of Wealthbuilder (windows). The database is from June
1994 (I haven't been able to pull the November 1994 database across
yet). In the next three notes, I'll put the "Mutual Fund Report Card"
for Templeton Foreign, Neuberger & Berman Guardian Trust, and
Neuberger & Berman Guardian (which is managed by the same folks).

Where *is* that conference? I can't find anything except one with one
note that has no information.

I'm looking for the ticker symbols for stock A and stock B. Anyone?

Thanks,
Pete

Almost all public conferences are announced in the conference
Turris::Easynet_Conferences (press SELECT now to add it
to your notebook). Topic 3495 is the one for the Digital_Investing
	conference.

In the case of the Digital_Investing conference, it's on the
same node that houses this conference ....

I know that. Hence, my question.

Which is what I answered. But if you knew the answer, why did
you ask? Or are you trying to ask something different? In
which case, please re-phrase the question :-)

Someone has been creating versions of the investing confreencing notes
file. As per instructions in the investing file, modify your file name
to include the ;1 version. I did and it works.

I did too, but haven't had the same luck. The conference I get shows a
last update on 18-Sep at about 21:33 (a week ago). My entry is:
	nyos01::digital_investing.note;1

Is this pointing to the correct file? Has there been activity since
18-Sep?

Thanks,
Darryl

I tried adding the version number again (I tried that last week), and
now I can see all of the topics in the conference. Don't know how long
it will last, though.

Thanks for the help,
Pete
