| Jerry,
Have you had any experience using DJ Retrieval? I'm curious if
you can download articles or do you have to read them on-line.
I happen to subscribe to both Barron's and the Wall Street Journal
which are publications of DJ. I'm curious if this might be an
alternative to receiving these publications.
I'd be interested if someone would post what services are available.

755.3 | Download? Don't know for sure, but I'd think so... | ASDG::HORTON | Paving the info highway with silicon | Mon Aug 08 1994 12:55 | 11 |
| Bob,
No, I have not yet used their on-line services.
I was thinking about signing on to the on-line market data package,
and I didn't pay much attention to the news retrieval service.
It's likely that if you can read the info on a screen then you should
be able to download whatever you want. Call DJ and ask for their
information packet.

That may be delayed by a couple months but it's worth the wait and it
will be an NO COST!!!!!.

| I recently read in a book that one could get average P/E ratios for
various industries from the WSJ - handy for roughly benchmarking a
stock against it's peers - but I can't find that info summarized
that way. Does anyone know if it exists, and if so where one
could find it?

| Look in Barron's, published by the same folks who do the WSJ.
There's a section titled approximately "Dow Jones Industry Groups".
It should have what you want.
