740.0. "Planning Programs?" by SNAX::WAGER (Assumption-the mother of all screw-ups) Thu Jul 07 1994 04:12
I was recently thinking about retirement and planning for the
future. I was wondering if anyone can point me to an program that
could tell me if I invest X amount for x years I will be able to take
out Y dollars for 30 years.
Ex) If you invest 200 a month @10% per year in 36 years you can take
out 1000 dollars a year for the rest of you life.
Also if it has something like an inflation variable built in, to
put the number in perspective of 2030 dollars to today's dollars if say
inflation was 5% a year or what ever number I felt like putting in.
Thanks,
Vern
P.S. I just recently bought quicken so I will be fooling around with
he investment planning part. So far I'm just using it for paying
bills and tracking expenses. Is there a way to do that in there?
