ASK was recently bought by some company -- does anyone know what that
    company was?

    Thanks,

| ... and to continue the CA/ASK/Ingres saga, about 100 employees (mostly
engineers from Ingres) have quit the company rather than be part of CA.
I think the dispute was mostly due to insurance coverage of domestic
    partners.

| CA has a reputation for getting rid of a lot of the employees of the
companies it takes over. I met one person to whom that happened. CA
took the assets and basically got rid of all the employees.

Interesting comment. My friend who (still) works at ASK was
apprehensive, because of CA's reputation, for a while about
whether he'd still have a job. As of about a week ago, he was
informed that he will be staying -- but several are being let go.
