Does anybody have any opinions on Lyondell Petrochemical? Their stock
is trading near it's 52 week low. It pays an annual dividend of $1.80,
which is yeilding @ 9%. I just read that Lyondell and Citgo signed on
to a joint venture to upgrade Lyondell's refinery to be able to process
heavy sour crude oil with Citgo financing the deal and taking on an
increasing ownership in the refinery over time. The article also talked
about how Lyondell is well posistioned to take advantage of the growing
market for the cleaner burning fuels that are being mandated by the
federal government for all the large cities.
