This fund started in Jan '87 was alleged to have the following track record (by FIDO phone service rep.) Avg return (life of fund) 18.xx% Last 3 years: 21.yy % Considered a growth and income fund. Questions: 1. Does anyone have experience with how it acts compared to the DOW? 2. If there is a significant correction (say 500 points) how will such a fund react ? 3. Does anyone have any info related to "average" return for this class of fund?

1. It has been performing great the last few years. Up 22% in 1992 and 10.2% thru May. The S&P 500 was up 7.6% in 1992 and 4.5% thru May. 2. MFIA gives it a risk rating of .8 compared to the S&P 500. 3. MFIA rates converts "OK to Sell". They think the convertibles market is over bought and its time to take profits. FWIW | |||||
