494.0. "Dean Witter funds?" by ASD::DIGRAZIA () Mon Jun 07 1993 11:58
Dean Witter is starting a new fund which they say is an extension of
their blue-chip/dividend-paying domestic equity fund.
The new fund is both domestic and international, with the same
blueness and dividend criteria.
(Sorry. I cannot remember the fund names.)
The fund has no purchase load, but it has a diminishing redemption
load. 5% 1st year, 4% 2nd, or something like that.
They say Morningstar rates the domestic fund 5 stars, and the same
manager will run the international version.
Any thoughts on these funds' quality? Any experience with Dean Witter
funds? Does that diminishing sales charge seem about the right amount?
Regards, Robert.
