Any comments or recommendations on financial planners. We have been considering hiring one. What are their fee structures? We were contacted by the "Lance Financial Associates" of Woburn. Any comments on them specifically?

I was very impressed with Lance Financial for a number of reasons, but
the biggest was:
The planner who came to see us decided that he could not improve on our
current situation. Then he offered me a job, 8-) but that's a long
story.
I actually liked the way they are organized and conduct business. But
I was most impressed that they would walk away rather than try to force
fit themselves into a situation where they would add little value.

That's interresting and unusual! The last financial panner I saw (and
the ones before that) said evverything was in order but *still* tried
to sell me a mutual fund which,of course,had a front-end load and a
commission for her.
