92.1Financial Industrial Income FundCSC32::B_HIBBERTWhen in doubt, PANICWed Mar 04 1992 13:5411
   In have been in the Financial Industrial Income Fund for a little over a
year. I have been very pleased with it's performance. Normally I don't
like balanced funds, but this fund has had very consistant performance in the
15% range for many years.

   The sector funds have been top performers this year, but I tend to stay
away from funds that are that focused. I don't think I can predict which
industries will do well in the next year, and these funds required constant
monitoring to know when to get out on that industry.

92.2Financial Funds as an organization.COOKIE::MAXWed Mar 04 1992 14:559
    I just recently started investing in Financial Industrial Income, so I
    can't comment on personal performance.

    I will say, though, that the people at the Financial Funds have been
    very easy to deal with and available/responsive to my questions.

    I'm happy with the organization as a whole.

    I have been dealing with them for a while now, Industrial Income fund,
    which a equity-income fund and not a balanced fund as mentioned in .1.
    This fund has been rated to be in the top 5 for its category. This fund
    is managed by the same guy who manages, FP's Health Sciences fund.
92.4Depends on your definition.CSC32::B_HIBBERTWhen in doubt, PANICThu Mar 05 1992 14:3712
  There is an Industrial Fund which invests in large dividend paying stocks
with a primary goal of producing dividend income. It does not invest in bonds.
This is an equity (stocks) income fund.

  The Industrial Income Fund invests in both stocks and bonds and has a primary
goal of producing current income with a lower risk that a stock only fund.

   My definition of a Balanced fund is a fund that invests in both stocks and
bonds in order to reduce the risk of a stock or bond only fund.
