112.0. "midnight bowling?" by WRKSYS::LONG () Thu May 01 1997 10:50

    I recently moved to Mass from Buffalo NY. In Buffalo we had midnight
    bowling on Fridays and Saturdays. This is where you could bowl for 3 or
    4 hours for one price. Most places had special colored pins mixed in
    with the rest. If one of these came up as a head pin and you got a
    strike, you would win prizes or money.

    I was wondering if there is anything like this in the area? I live in
    Westborough, MA. I am willing to drive up to an hour. Also I am looking
    for some good bowling lanes with open bowling times. I might also be
    interested in joining a league if anyone has some info.

    Thanks in advance,
    Jim

No colored balls [ooh err], but we used to take advantage of a deal
at Town and Country Lanes in Shrewsbury [Route 9W] on Saturdays that
cost something like $9-$11 for three to four hours [10PM-1/2AM]. I
haven't been there in a LONG time [a couple years] so maybe someone
else would know if they're still doing this.

It's literally right down the road from you, though.

112.2Try Auburn Tenpin too!DAGWUD::UMBRELLOTue May 06 1997 10:0412
    I believe they also have something similar at Auburn Tenpin. It's also
    not far from Westboro.

    Both Town & Country (Shrewsbury) and Auburn Tenpin should be in the
    book.  Give them a call!

    (p.s. my league is *always* looking for bowlers - it's a mixed handicap
    league and we bowl on Wednesday's at 5:45 pm. We just finished the
    season last Wednesday and will be starting up again on or about
    September 7th).
