Hi, We are in an RFP process for the biggest cellular phone company in Israel. One of the issues is data mining on billable calls (Call Behavior Analysis). To show an added value we'd like to come with DM ideas and possible models. Does anybody knows of Telecom site where DM is implemented? Any pointers to peoples involved in such projects? any ideas what points to stress and how we can "impress" the customer with valuable telecom knowledge as related to DM? We also have to deliver DW, so any added value ideas in methodology in CBA environment are welcomed. Thanks, Ofer. [Posted by WWW Notes gateway]

Ofer, You might contact Pierre-Yves Visciglio @VBO as he is working for the Telecom marketing and involved in the Datawarehouse activity. He recently took part to the Telecom Datamart done here in Valbonne and could provide you with DM ideas. Pierre | |||||

Ofer, You may want to contact Paul Slater @AYR. I personally don't know whether his group has done any data mining project in telco or not, but I believe that data mining shares the same ideas in any industry. I have read a paper talking about applying data mining to analyze telco network alarm databases. If you are interested, I can give you pointer to the paper. Other applicable idea is fraud management system. You can reach me at [email protected]. We can also share ideas related to your project. Rgds, Iwan |
