               Knosys provides Client/Server On-Line Analytical
Processing (OLAP) solutions for divisions, departments,
               work groups and mid-sized companies.

We offer a complete, easy to set up and use OLAP decision
support solution with everything necessary to access,
understand and communicate the information fundamental to
               better business decisions.

Specifically we focus on enabling Client/Server OLAP
decision support systems for the broader business market
by significantly reducing the costs, complexity and time
               required to deploy a solution.

                "Enterprise" OLAP requires, significant financial
resources, big IS staffs and long time commitments.

grounded business decisions within a few days.

If you need cost effective ways to obtain better decision
making information for a work group, department or
               mid-sized business, Knosys can help.

Warehouse Analyzer -- OLAP system is designed to simplify decision support

Information Week via Individual Inc. : Knosys LLP this month will roll out
DecisionView 2.0, an online analytical processing system designed to
simplify decision support. DecisionView originally was designed for small
to medium-sized companies' data marts, but large companies also are relying
on the OLAP system to provide department-level analysis of their enterprise
data warehouses.

The simplified decision support is attractive to the LaserJet Solutions
Group at Hewlett-Packard, which manages an Oracle-based data ware- house
and several high-end multidimensional databases. "There is always a certain
overhead associated with a companywide solution as opposed to a
departmental or workgroup solution," says Jason Picker, an IT specialist at
HP. He's evaluating the use of DecisionView and other departmental tools to
provide customized OLAP systems that let users in each department access a
subset of warehouse data and analyze it for their needs. "Creating these
custom solutions on one machine would mean they would be competing for
valuable time and resources such as disk space and CPU power," adds Picker.
"Off-loading the departmental analysis to independent OLAP systems benefits
the worldwide audience."

DecisionView offers an Open Database Connectivity-compliant
multidimensional database for Windows NT, an administrative toolkit, and a
choice between two clients:a Mi-crosoft Excel client and a proprietary
client named Graphical Browser, which isn't a Web product. The
administrative toolkit lets IT managers create and maintain the
multidimensional database, drawing on existing Informix, Microsoft, Oracle,
and Sybase database structures.

"Products such as DecisionView represent potential for identifying trends
faster and for responding [to the market] faster," says Todd Miller,
director of IT for Electronic Controls Co., a manufacturer in Boise, Idaho.
DecisionView will sell for $10,000 per five users. Copyright 1997 CMP Media
