Timex chooses InfoAdvisor, an application software package that
delivers immediate business benefits and rapid time to market
PLATINUM technology, inc., today introduced a new data warehouse decision
support application called PLATINUM InfoAdvisor. InfoAdvisor is a sales and
marketing decision support system that provides a visual, intuitive
interface to a sales and marketing data warehouse or departmental data
mart. InfoAdvisor enables the trending, forecasting, ranking, monitoring,
and analyzing of key sales and marketing indicators. World-class marketers
like Timex Corporation plan to leverage InfoAdvisor to gain knowledge
quickly about which products are selling where and when, and who's buying.

better, faster decision making.

A Data Warehouse Application for Sales and Marketing
InfoAdvisor is an on-line solution for analyzing sales and marketing data.
The end users for this application include sales and marketing managers,
product/brand managers, business analysts, and executives. InfoAdvisor
provides multiple analytical facilities that allow these users to track,
monitor, and analyze business indicators at any level of detail. This
enables companies to determine their most strategic business directions by
allowing them to identify long-term or new market opportunities, identify

InfoAdvisor was developed with PLATINUM's Forest & Trees, a visual rapid
application development environment for developing customized Enterprise

product, channel, and customer segment; sales volume by product, market

daily business activity and alerts executives to problem areas. --
Comparison analysis - allows users to analyze market share, variance in
sales volume, profit, or revenue, and benchmark against external data. --
Performance analysis - allows users to analyze total new accounts, net
additions, lost accounts, leads generated, and cost per lead; ROI by
product, customer segment, or channel. -- Executive reports - allows
executives to view summarized reports on profit and loss, sales, and
financials.
