Andyne Delivers Personal OLAP with PaBLO 4.0 Latest version of innovative
OLAP client includes CubeCreator(TM), the industry's easiest
multidimensional data source builder

KINGSTON, Ontario, March 31 /PRNewswire/ via Individual Inc. -- Andyne
Computing Limited, (Nasdaq: ADYNF; Toronto: ADY) makers of industry-leading
decision support software for data warehouses and data marts, today
announced the release of CubeCreator, the industry's easiest and most
scalable desktop HyperCube builder. CubeCreator is a major feature of
Andyne PaBLO 4.0, the newest release of Andyne's Online Analytical
Processing (OLAP) client.

"Some of our competitors talk about 'OLAP for the masses,' but with PaBLO
4.0 Andyne is delivering Personal OLAP for the everyday business user,"
says Cameron Thompson, Andyne's president and CEO. "With CubeCreator, it
can take just one click of a mouse to build a compressed, high-speed,
summarized HyperCube ready for analysis with PaBLO's intuitive visual
interface. This puts the power of OLAP where it belongs -- on the business
user's desktop."

Because few people have the time to learn the intricacies of HyperCube
design, CubeCreator includes a data-smart AutoDesign feature that can read
any text source file and decide how the HyperCube should be designed.
Anybody who can use Microsoft Windows 95(R) Explorer can use CubeCreator's
interface to build and edit HyperCubes. And CubeCreator builds HyperCubes
directly from queries run in Andyne GQL(TM), the industry's
standard-setting query and reporting tool.

Despite the simplicity of its interface and the ease with which it builds
HyperCubes, CubeCreator is a robust, scalable engine capable of building
cubes with potentially hundreds of millions of rows. Cubes with a few
thousand rows are built in seconds, and cubes with millions of rows are
created in minutes.

Beta Customers, Analysts See Benefits

Customers participating in the PaBLO 4.0 beta program are singing the
praises of CubeCreator. "Building multidimensional data sources is painful
because it's tough to define the hierarchies that often involve some form
of technical definition," says Harold Snider, president of Business
Guidance Systems and a consultant to Tandem Computers Inc. "It's usually
something you wouldn't allow a non-technical person to do. But with
CubeCreator, building HyperCubes is automatic; I was really impressed with
its ability to figure out how to automatically organize a cube. PaBLO and
CubeCreator give business users the ability to spontaneously access the
data and look at it in new ways, to be creative in their thinking about how
their business operates, and to find new ways to recognize business
challenges."

CubeCreator has not gone unnoticed by industry analysts either. Wayne
Eckerson, director of business intelligence and data warehouse services for
the Patricia Seybold Group, says CubeCreator lightens the load on IT
specialists while equipping desktop users with everything they need to do
OLAP right out of the box. "As a leading desktop OLAP vendor, Andyne has
obviously placed a premium on usability," says Eckerson. "CubeCreator makes
it possible for end-users -- as opposed to IT administrators -- to build
cubes. That reduces the overhead of IT involvement and makes PaBLO more
powerful in the hands of users who can now do more ad hoc analysis on their
own. In short, PaBLO and CubeCreator make for a more liberating environment
for users."

Other PaBLO 4.0 Enhancements

CubeCreator aside, PaBLO 4.0 is the first OLAP client to support Informix
MetaCube, a cutting-edge Relational Online Analytical Processing (ROLAP)
engine. "With MetaCube added to PaBLO's long list of database
connectivities, the desktop user has the best of all worlds -- access to
local HyperCubes, relational cubes, ROLAP servers, and Multidimensional
Database Management Systems (MDBMSs)," notes Ron Spencer, Andyne's senior
vice president of product management. "This seamless, multifaceted access
is the essence of Personal OLAP; it channels the power of various data
sources directly to the user's desktop."

Among PaBLO 4.0's other enhancements is an "Export to HTML" option for OLAP
publishing over the World Wide Web. By optionally defining their own HTML
templates, users can change the look of Web pages or have them point to
other Web documents.

Pricing and Availability

PaBLO 4.0 will be available in late April for Windows 3.x, Windows 95 and
Windows NT at a list-price of $695 U.S. per user.

About PaBLO

Andyne is First Managed Query Vendor to Ship Support for Informix MetaCube
Decision support tool offers 'a rich environment for OLAP on the desktop,'
says customer

KINGSTON, Ontario, May 12 /PRNewswire/ via Individual Inc. -- Andyne
Computing Limited, (Nasdaq: ADYNF; Toronto: ADY) makers of industry-leading
desktop decision support software for data warehouses and data marts, today
announced that Andyne(TM) PaBLO(TM) 4.0 will be the first Online Analytical
Processing (OLAP) application to support Informix MetaCube, offering joint
customers a richly visual, high-performance solution for multidimensional
business analysis on the desktop.

"With PaBLO's intuitive OLAP interface on users' desktops powered by the
MetaCube ROLAP engine, people in today's information-driven enterprise can
detect business challenges and opportunities, analyze them thoroughly, and
create compelling reports that will help hone their competitive edge," says
Ron Spencer, Andyne's senior vice president of product management. "We've
designed PaBLO 4.0 to take advantage of key MetaCube features so that users
can get the most out of Informix's cutting-edge database technology."

Informix MetaCube integrates relational database technology with
multidimensional OLAP capabilities, creating a relational OLAP (ROLAP)
engine designed expressly for high-speed, scalable, muscular business
analysis. PaBLO allows desktop users to view, manipulate, and drill up and
down within MetaCube and create reports with tables, charts, and graphs.

PaBLO 4.0 supports MetaCube's data sampling capability, which can speed up
processing of large volumes of data by several orders of magnitude. Other
MetaCube features supported include multiple data views, asymmetrical
hierarchies, and multiple parents.

"Andyne was the first decision support partner to deliver proof-of-concept
integration with MetaCube, and we're excited that they've followed through
so successfully with PaBLO," says Steven Sommer, Informix's vice president
of enterprise solutions. "MetaCube transforms your relational database into
a high-performance OLAP server. PaBLO's easy-to-use interface transforms
your desktop users into powerful OLAP analysts. If your enterprise is
looking to turn the data warehouse or data mart into a rich source of
multidimensional business intelligence, we think you can't go wrong with
PaBLO and MetaCube."

Beta customers are impressed by PaBLO's integration with MetaCube. "This is
good news for our MetaCube clients," says Jeff Jonas, president of Systems
Research and Development, a Las Vegas-based consultancy serving major U.S.
financial, real estate, and hospitality companies. "We can now offer our
users a choice of desktop decision support tools driven from MetaCube
metadata. PaBLO 's drag-and-drop and click-to-drill interface offers users
a rich environment for OLAP on the desktop. Plus, there are tremendous,
lightning-fast performance increases to be gained in supporting data
sampling."

PaBLO, MetaCube save time: Analyst

"Informix's data sampling feature accelerates large-scale OLAP operations
without unduly sacrificing accuracy," said Teresa Wingfield, a Giga
Information Group analyst specializing in OLAP and data warehousing.
"Andyne PaBLO's support of data sampling means that analysis of, say, 100
million rows of data won't chew up an inordinate share of computing cycle
times. And PaBLO's interface makes OLAP easier for first-time users, so
enterprises can implement their MetaCube solution more quickly."

Pricing and Availability

PaBLO 4.0 will be available in late May for Windows 3.x, Windows 95 and
Windows NT at a list-price of $695 U.S. per user.
