568.0. "New AltaVista Forum for Worldwide Topics" by SMURF::WENDY () Thu Feb 20 1997 11:39
The UNIX Engineering Group Internationalization Team, in conjunction
with the International Systems Engineering Group and the OpenVMS Group
Internationalization Team, is pleased to announce the availability of
an AltaVista Forum (Web Forum) for the discussion of
internationalization(i18n) and localization (l10n) issues and/or questions.
We expect this forum to be used as a mechanism for both engineering and
field personnel to make inquiries about our product offerings for
non-English speaking countries, technical questions about development of
internationalized software, how to localize software, how to use our
international products, standards activities, etc.
We expect this forum will (eventually) replace various notesfiles such
as Worldwide, although we will continue to respond to questions
here as well.
To access the Worldwide (I18N/L10N) Forum:

This forum is maintained by the UNIX Engineering I18N Team. Please
contact us if you have any problems.
Thanks go to Mark Devries and Brian Simons for helping establish this
forum for our use!
