1671.30 | Input on Sears compound miter | ODIXIE::ZOGRAN | regnaD kciN, my hero | Fri Feb 28 1997 13:49 | 10 |
| I'm in the market for a power miter saw, as I have a couple of projects
coming up (finish a basement, install a closet) which do not involve "fine"
woodworking per se, but the use of a miter box would be nice. Sears has
a Compound Miter saw on sale for $199 (regularly $269). It's a 3hp, 10"
unit, and includes a dust bag, extensions and hold down clamp. Any
thoughts on this unit? As I said before the application is more for
home type projects rather than dedicated woodworking (cabinet or
furniture making).

1671.31 | Delta for $189 | STAR::SCHEN | | Fri Feb 28 1997 16:26 | 5 |
| Just another option, Woodworker's Warehouse has a Delta
Compound miter saw on sale for $189. I have not compared
the two, but the picture I saw of the Sears model had the
extensions and other accessories you mentioned that the
Delta may or may not have.
