340.0. "Win311 not work,but DOS O.K." by TLAV02::CHENSAK () Sun Mar 23 1997 03:21
Hi
I have tested the RoamAbout FH PCMCIA card at my customer site, he
has only Toshiba Notebook with Win for Workgroup, I setup the PCMCIA
card with the driver version 3.12a, I can connect to their Netware 4.x
and connect to shared drive on NT 4.0 in DOS mode, but when I run win
command to enter Windows ,I can't use any network resource ,can't
browse the other machine. In Network Setup ,I use NDIS that come with
the RoamAbout driver diskette. (I use rl2setup ,it can communicate
with the Access Point).. I think that there are no conflict about the
IRQ or Address, because there is no error in the boot process.
I test with Win95 on my notebook ,everything works fine. How can I
solve this problem?
thank you in advanced
chensak

340.2 | Try reinstalling network from with Windows. | IROCZ::SCHWARTZ | | Tue Apr 15 1997 00:07 | 8 |
| Hi,
It sounds like you only installed the driver under DOS. You should be
installing the driver using the Windows control panel and adding
network adapter. If you are only running to a Novell server, you can
install using the ODI compatible driver.
