338.1 | Current drivers work with NT 4.0 | IROCZ::SCHWARTZ | | Fri Mar 21 1997 10:41 | 19 |
| Hi Youda,
The current windows NT driver works fine on Windows NT 4.0. You can
find the drivers on our internal WWW site as beta5b (I need to get
these released).
In the next month, I expect to get a final version released. The
current version runs fine on NT and the current Version of 95. Very
recently, MicroSoft released a new version that the drivers do not
currently work with. I am currently testing a new version. If you
know of anyone using MS's new operating system (OSR2, V4.00.950b) I can
send them a copy.
Regards,
Jeff

338.2 | NT V4.0 Service Pack II | NETRIX::"[email protected]" | Youda Kopel | Sun Mar 23 1997 19:22 | 31 |
| Thanks Jeff ,
This one is very strange.......We are using the FHBETA5.ZIP drivers.
The person has a HiNote Ultra II with CD-ROM ( like mine that works fine with
WIN 95 ) and is running WIN NT V4.0 - SERVICE PACK II .
The installations goes fine but, NT Event logger reports : Can't find the
card, and does not repoert on IRQ/MEM conflict.
We have tried different IRQs 11 ( default one ), 7 and 5 and tried to remove
the CD-ROM, tried PCMCIA slots 0 and top, tried ISA and PCMCIA bus types and
still could not get the FH/PC card to be activated. I do not have DS/PC to
try with . My HiNote Ultra II works well with WIN 95 and FH/PC card and also
with DOS RL2SETUP.....I even removed my card and Antenna and tried on the
other
person Ultra II with no luck.
Do you know of any one out there at LKG with this setup ( NT V4.0 ) and FH/PC
that is running happly ?????
The presson that is trying to use the Card is from the WIN NT group
specilising
with NT.

338.4 | Look for another IRQ. | IROCZ::SCHWARTZ | | Tue Apr 15 1997 00:00 | 21 |
| Hi Youda,
I am not sure what it could be. First I want to make sure you really
have the latest driver. You mentioned the file FHbeta5.zip, but I want
to make sure it is Beta5B. The driver (RL2WINNT.SYS) should be dated
July 25, 1997 and the OEMSETUP.INF dated Sept 13, 96.
With the Multi-media docking station there is only one IRQ available.
If the customer has a modem or other PCMCIA card installed, it will not
find the RoamAbout card. You may suggest that the customer disables
either the IR port (IRQ 3) or the parallel port (IRQ 7) and reconfigure
the RoamAbout card to that setting.

Jeff
