1026.0. "V2.3 for OpenVMS - soon?" by SANITY::KBERRY (Kathleen Berry, dtn 225-5190) Tue Apr 22 1997 23:56

    Hi,

Would anyone be able to tell me the estimated ship date for V2.3 for
OpenVMS? The software rollout sheets indicate that the release will
support OpenVMS V7.1 VAX and Alpha, but don't give a date other than
    "awaiting committment"...

Has anyone run V2.2 under OpenVMS V7.1 with good results?

    Thanks,
    Kathy

    Hi Kathy,

I run the 2.2 Watchdog agents on VMS 7.1 VAX systems without any
problems. The agent won`t install on 7.1 Alpha systems due to undefined
symbols causing the link to fail during the installation. I don`t know
    about the consolidator however...

    hth,

    Nick.

p.s. I would like to monitor the 7.1 Alpha's with watchdog - hopefully
the release won`t be too far away!

The bottom line folks is that CA has not committed to a release date.

Does anyone know who to call for information on the release date. I
have a customer who is "chomping at the bit" for the date. They now
have systems up and running OpenVMS 7.1 and Oracle 7.3 and GREATLY
DESIRE watchdog!
