Arthur C. Clarke Biography
Arthur C. Clarke is the last of the big 3 of the fifties on my list (Asimov
& Heinlein are already done). Clarke was always more likely to get the
science right, but without ignoring the characters (which was a hallmark of
most hard SF of the day). Important works include "Childhood's End", "2001:
A Space Odyssey" [necessary to understand the movie], and "The Nine Billion
Names of God" [his best collection].
