1282.0. "Belgareth the sorcerer strikes again.... by David and Leigh?? Eddings..." by FORTY2::HOLLOWAY () Thu Aug 17 1995 14:47

Hi,
for those that have read there way through the Belgariad and the
	Mallorean...

This is to point them in the direction of "Belgareth the Sorcerer"
by David and Leigh(his wife - see preface) Eddings. It is the story
of the time before the Belgariad, about gods and Belgareth etc.

Well I'm in the middle of reading book three of the Tamuli and so far
it's standard Eddings. No suprises as of yet but when I'm finished
I'll be sure to let you all know.

I finished book three of the Tamuli series and It's really great. I
enjoyed it a lot. Too bad it's the end of that series. I liked
Sparhawk,Stragen and the rest. Let's hope a another series comes with
    great characters.

I didn't care for the Elenium series, but I'm really looking forward to seeing
the rest of what looks like a "pre-history of the Belgariad".

I did find a few contradictions between this most recent book, which is
largely "autobiographical" and the other books, but probably because I've read
them a number of times.

If you are new to Eddings, don't be put off by the "series" look of it - it
stands quite well by itself.

Belgarath the Sorcerer is currently available only in hardcover in OZ, but I
_think_ it was worth the money.
