The plot sure sounded familar... A few years back I think there was a Columbo
or some such where guests at a hotel/resort were dropping like flies,
supposedly to a naturally occuring bug.

Read on the net that some critics have seen the rough cut of this
film. Lots of people squirming in their seats, fidgeting and
screaming. It's an "Alien" genre movie, but not cheesy like
so many have been in the past few years.
Lots of positve comments and it may be a big film for the summer.
It may have the impact of the original Alien when it was first
shown.
Looking forward to it.

It as been more then four months that the movies came out in the
cinema and nobody wrote any comments on the movie so I'll try to revive
the subject a little.
I have seen the movie and I think if anybody didn't see it on the
big screen that they should run to their local video store as soon as
it's there. I beleive that it a must see film. The only scene that I
didn't like was the escape at the beginning which was poor in details
(Probably because it would have been impossible to escape otherwise)
but from then on it intrigue and action packed.
Much better than Alien III, I recommend it to every SF-HORROR fan.

'much better than Alien 3'? talk about damning with faint
praise...
I'd have to disagree with you - I thought this was one of the
worst movies I'd seen in a *long* time. And I'm a big fan of Giger's
work. If it weren't for the lousy plot, cheesy writing and horrible
acting they might've had a movie there....
The alien was rather striking ( both as a blonde and an alien :-) )
that was the only appealing part of the movie for me - the alien looked
cool, period.
Ugh - go rent Aliens again, instead...
