Arthur C. Clarke was the guest of honour on the BBC programme This is Your Life last night. Buzz Aldrin helped Michael Aspel to surprise him. Alexei Leonov (sp? - first man to walk in space) presented him with a poster signed by all the cosmonauts. Patrick Moore and Helen Sharman were amongst the British celebrities to honour him. Aspel asked Clarke to explain what a Clarke orbit was in simple terms. I thought he did a pretty good job, but Aspel acted as if he couldn't understand it. The last guest was the man who taught Clarke physics. Peter
