A series here in the UK which had me glued to the family television set on Friday evenings 'way back in the mid 70s was called "The Tomorrow People". The author of the books was a guy called Roger Price and the series has recently been remade to appeal to today's kids. This new treatment is nowhere near as good as the original (usually the way, isn't it?). Does anyone out there remember this series and if so can they tell me if it ever made it onto video, if so where to get copies etc? My own kids watch the new series and I told them about the original. While you're at it, there's a couple of books I'm after as well: Titles of "Golgotha", auth John Gardner/Gardiner/Gardener and "Telepath" by John Brunner. I reckon the latter would make a superb film; any comments?

re .0 Yeah, I remember it. Good escapist stuff for kids. It never seemed to be on at the right time down under so I saw episodes only intermittently. It had some elements in common with "The Chrysalids" (John Wyndham) which I recently re-read. Sorry, I can't help with your other questions but if it was BBC then try contacting them. | |||||

Look on Nickelodean on saturday at about 5:00 and sunday at about 1:00 they are playing what looks like an updated version of the tv series.. I have seen the old one before .. There was the head guy name john and they would 'jaunt' around with the help of some sort of belt type device. In the new one they can teleport by themselves.. Also the new one is international in scope. There is an Austrilain, american, and english 'tomorrow people' |
