1. In the movie "Fobidden Planet", what was the name of the
advanced civilization that perished on the planet Altair?
2. What was the cause of the death of the Altair's ancient
civilization?

As I remember it..
(1) The "Krell"
(2) they created a method of allowing creation/destruction
of matter (in any form at any place ) by will power alone,
what they forgot was the unconscious mind ("monsters from the ID")
which used this power to create fantastic monsters that destroyed
their civilization
