1068.1 | < Mercedes Lackey and her writing style > | KAOOA::HOLLISTER | Terry-Lee Hollister | Tue May 26 1992 15:00 | 24 |
| Hello Everyone,
I started this topic because I could not find the topic for
Mercedes Lackey or for her books which are Fanasty.
She has written many short stories for the SWORDS AND
SORESS series as well as Andre Nortors WITCH WORLD Shorts.
She has also written (and Started) five series and
co-wrote 6 other books with various authors. Her
charater are unique and refreshing, and the story line
moves along at a good rate, but you really can get into
the characters.
There is a list of her books in the BOOK CONFERENCE
NOTE 1321 and in this NOTES 98 and 943.20
If you have read any of her books please reply to
this topic.
Regards,
Terry Hollister

was she the author of "Magic's Pawn", "Magic's Promise", and "Magic's
Price"? If so, I liked them a great deal!

She has also started a new series call the "Lark and the Wren" with the

1068.5 | a good read | TINCUP::XAIPE::KOLBE | The Dilettante Debutante | Fri Aug 14 1992 16:23 | 5 |
| I just finished "By the Sword". It's something of a "feminist" novel. The last
chapter kind of drops into fantasy romance though. The heroine is strong and
determined. She seems to be the fantasy version of a career woman who gives up
the standard love and marriage route to forge her own way in the world. This is
definately an adventure novel. Lots of battles and swordplay. liesl
