Anybody else read this? I thought it was a good story, if a bit short.

OK. The story centers about the Olympic games in the not-too-distant future. The games have been expanded to include 'intellectual' events. The athletes can undergo a process to boost their performance, however, after several years, they die, *unless* they win gold medals, ion which case they can get medical maintenance. The story plot follows a woman who is entered in, among other things, Judo and 'fell-running' a sort of cross-country combined with free climbing. |
