998.1 | Typical Chalker - but readable | LENO::GRIER | mjg's holistic computing agency | Tue Jul 16 1991 13:25 | 18 |

Re: .0:
I'm awaiting the sequel too.
However, Chalker's books while being somewhat interesting and
entertaining and really not worth much more than the paper they're
written on. If you've ever read any of his other series they're so
similar in theme that except for slight variations I wonder why I read
them. (But I do like the variations, so I find myself reading them.
It's better than reading computer books, but I don't know how I'll go
back after finishing the Thomas Covenant series again...)
So far it *does* sound like "Four Lords of the Diamond meets Nathan
Brazil and the Well World", with a small dose of Five Rings of the
Master mixed in.

| The sequel is out.. It has been for a couple of months.. I got a copy at a
B. Daltons in Atlanta at decus. It is hardback.. I haven't read it yet though
because I keep puting books infront of it in my 'to read' pile..

998.3 | What's it titled? | TNPUBS::HALLOWELL | It's been a slow decade. | Tue Jul 16 1991 18:55 | 6 |

Can you pass on a title? All of the bookstores I've tried don't have it
and have no record of what it might be called.
Thanks,
