| BTW, I noticed a small mistake on the DJ episode. (Yes, _I_, the
QL fan, found a MISTAKE! Horrors! ;^) )
A number of times a 45 was lifted, and I recognized the label.
It was Columbia, but it was the newer, mid 70's - 80's orange fading
to yellow label, with white lettering.

841.12 | SERIES FINALE | KAOFS::M_BARNEY | Formerly Ms.Fett | Wed May 05 1993 13:00 | 17 |
| Has anyone else seen the series finale?
Saw it last night.
Spoilers
Spent last night watching confusing SF. First, an uplink copy of
this week's Star Trek; Ryker's psycho - quite the plot line!
Then, the QL finale.
I am so sad.
It was exciting; eerie, synchronicitous (can we say that?)
and somewhat disappointing an ending!
He doesn't go home!!!!

I know what you mean. I haven't quite decided yet whether he doesn't return
home is because he chose not to, didn't accept that he had the power to make
that choice (less likely due to his final leap) or didn't have that choice
available.
The 'god as bartender' setup was clever and worked well to me. Though I'm
still really confused :-) was his visit to Beth the 'sabbatical' Al proposed?
I guess I'd prefer to think that Sam has chosen to continue his mission,
but I don't know if that means he's lost touch forever with Al (the Admiral)
and Al (the barkeeper/god/time/fate/whatever)
I found his going to see Beth and save things for Al to be particularly
touching.
Anybody know who's in the airplane picture during the credits?

p.s. I'd missed a few of the recent episodes, so I don't know when
they started using the old music again, but I really liked it!!

I think by not returning home they left it quite open for further
adventures, either in a series, or (made for tv) movies.
If Sam had returned, and vowed never to get into the QL chamber
again, it would have been a more final ending. (Sort of like the
Celtics game that I kept switching back to ;-)
Of course there are still a lot of loose ends in my opinion.
If Al's marriage is saved and he remains faithful to Beth, do
Sam and Al ever meet? (No reason why not on the surface, but then
he obviously took a different path in life, so why not careerwise as
wel?) And where do all these other apparent leapers come from?
I doubt the Stoeppa (sp?) character had the resources of a QL
project behind him.
While I was never a faithful follower of this show, I usually
found it interesting when I caught it.
Leap on!
