I've occasionally been lucky enough to catch one of those "The Making of X"
specials on TV, a documentary on the making of such-n-such movie or television
program.  I'd like to know ... WHERE CAN I FIND THESE?  I'd like to augment
my video collection with some good "Making of ..." 's.  I remember years ago
that, to fill a 10-20 minute gap after a movie on TV, they'd occasionally show
one of those "Making of ..."'s ... there must have been LOTS of these documen-
taries made; if you can help me locate some of them ... are they ever for sale,
or are they "public domain"?

I'm especially interested in "Making of ..."'s for adventure movies, science
fiction, suspense/thrillers, etc. ... mostly because I'm fascinated with some
of the gadgetry and technology involved.  Also in how stunts are performed.

    Some of these manage to make it onto prerecorded videotape/disc.
    Ones I know off-hand are the Making of STAR WARS and THE EMPIRE
    STRIKES BACK (I believe they are combined on one tape/disc)
    and the Making of RAIDERS OF THE LOST and a special of stuntmen
    that revolves around the stunts for RAIDERS (again, I think they
    are combined on one tape/disc).
    
    If you're into laserdisc and don't mind paying high prices for
    Japanese imports, there are a number of other available in that
    format.

    If I remember correctly, a "Making of" videotape of THE ABYSS is
    scheduled for release sometime in the near-future.
