803.0. "Spider World by Colin Wilson" by SNOC02::SKENNAR () Tue Jun 20 1989 02:29

Hi, I'm new in the SF conference.

I just borrowed a copy of Colin Wilson's "Spider World: The Delta"
today. Has anyone read The Delta stories? Would you recommend that
I read them in order, i.e. The Tower then The Delta?

    Thanx

	Hi Marilyn,

I'm also new to this conference as I'm new to DEC !
However, I have read the "Spider World" series and can
recommend them. You do really need to read them in order,
otherwise you take all the suspense out of the first book.

I have yet to come across any other books by him, does
	anybody know of any ?

Colin Wilson's other books are decidedly different from the
    Spider World novels.

His first three science fantasies were inspired by H.P. Lovecraft:

    THE MIND PARASITES
    THE PHILOSOPHER'S STONE
THE SPACE VAMPIRES (the basis for the film LIFEFORCE)

    He's also written a few suspense/thrillers and quite a few non-fiction
books dealing with philosophy and the occult.
