724.0. "Hobart Floyt and Alacrity Fitzhugh" by RAINBO::TARBET () Fri Dec 16 1988 13:11

    I'm surprised that I haven't found anything about Daley's Floyt-and-
Fitzhugh trilogy (Requiem For A Ruler Of Worlds, Jinx On A Terran
Inheritance, and Fall Of The White Ship Avatar).

I found them very well-written from a technical standpoint, and a nice
mix of humor and adventure in plot. Am I _really_ the only one who
hopes that more books are in the offing???

I have read these books and recommend them highly for some light
reading. Brian Daley (will we ever forgive him for the Han Solo
and the (insert your own variable) books) has really come up with
the appropriate mix of action adventure and droll humor to make
    a very enjoyable series.

I've enjoyed these books also and check everytime to see if a new
one is out. Not exactly heavy reading but fun. I find I get
attached to certain characters and could read endless books about
       them. liesl

They are favorites of mine also. (Has anyone read "The Drawing
of the Dark' which is also by Brian Daley.) The books have
definitely made me want to learn more about the characters and
    what happens to them next..

I like "the Nonpareill" also...tho I keep thinking that she
should be chocolate and dusted with sugar dots.

THE DRAWING OF THE DARK was by Tim Powers, not Brian Daley.

Well, I'm glad that I ain't the only fan! um, has anyone heard
anything about when/whether the next lot will be out? (I can't
even find the first three on the shelves anymore, and my cys are
    almost worn out from re-reading!)

Very good light reads! I hadn't heard anything about another set,
    but I'd _like to_!

Has anyone seen *anything* on the shelves by Daley since these three
books came out? I'm wondering if the guy died or gave up writing or
isn't being published anymore, it's been years since the last one.

    Anyone know?
