Personal opinion: it's not quite up to the other Flinx stories,
but it's still worth reading.
No spoilers, BUT.... base note said this occurs AFTER events in
Bloodhype. There is a "time line" (chronology?) in the back of
the book that lists the Bloodhype events as two (2) years
AFTER the events in Flux. I just bought the book this morning,
finished it just before coming to (midnight) work. I haven't
dragged out my copy of Bloodhype to confirm, but didn't the
final scene have an inebriated Porsupah (sp?) watching Flinx
climb into his ship, with a hairy Ujurrian in the doorway to
greet him? If so, this would agree with events in Flux, that
Bloodhype happened AFTER Flux did.
Or am I already punchy, and it's ONLY a little after 0200??

633.3 | I was wrong. | KACIE::SANDER | No CLD's please | Fri Jun 24 1988 11:59 | 8 |
| You are correct. I was thinking that END OF THE MATTER was
the last book. What I meant to say is that it takes place after
Pip has her babies.
No spoiler but I sort of liked it. I hope he continues with
Pip and Flinx or at least the HUMANX stories. The timeline
was interesting and ties a lot of things together.

| Just a mention here about another fine work of his," Sentenced To
Prism " I found this to be just as good as the Flix series.
I also hope he continues to write the Flix series. With a little
luck we won't have to wait as long for the next one.

Hi,
I'm told that theres a Flinx book "Tears of Mother Not" which
for one reason or another is not available in the UK. Is there a
kind hearted American who is willing to send a couple of these
books over to me ? I'll gladly send over a money order for the
books and postage.
Please send mail to ARRODS::WHITAKER or Andy Whitaker @HHL
Regards,
Andy Whitaker
P.S. I need two as my friend is also missing this one from his
