    PUWAG (Pure, Unadulterated Wild-*ssed Guess) -- If enough people
    vote Holland 1990, then it (some city in the Netherlands) will be
    the site for (probably) the 1990 World SF Convention.  How'd I do?

    The base note is asking that people attending the World Science Fiction
    Convention (Worldcon) in Brighton, England (starts tomorrow) vote for
    Holland to host the 1990 Worldcon. Holland and Los Angelos are both
    bidding to hold the Worldcon for 1990. Voting takes place at the
    Worldcon held 3 years prior to the year being voted on.
    
    If you are already a member, then you received a ballot in the mail.
    You can vote by mail, or in person at the convention if you're
    attending.

    IN HOLLAND, DEN HAAG (s'GRAVENHAGE) HAS BEEN CHOSEN FOR THE WORLDCON.
    THIS IS A BEAUTIFUL CITY AT THE COAST OF HOLLAND, AND IS A
    INTERNATIONAL MEETING CENTRE WHITH ALL THING BELONGING TO IT.
    THE CONVENTION WILL BE HELD IN THE CONGRES-CENTRE WICH HAS A LOT
    OF EXPERIENCE WITH CONVENTIONS AND IS REALLY SUITTED FOR IT.
    
    IF YOU LIKE SOMETHING ELSE TO DO (I CAN'T IMAGINE WHAT), YOU CAN
    GO TO THE BEACH OR TO ATTRACTIONPARK DUINREL CLOSE TO IT.
    IN DEN HAAG THE ARE A LOT OF SPECIAL RESTAURANTS WICH SERVE A
    GREAT VARIETY OF FOOD, SOMETHING FOR EVERYBODY!

        I'll lobby for a vote for Los Angeles because it's only 400
    miles away from home as opposed to over 4000.

    No one will go to Disneyland *while* they are attending Worldcon,
    they'll go before or after. A lot of my friends are taking 2-3
    weeks vacation right now to travel around England before and/or
    after the Worldcon.

    Many fans I know are likely to vote for non-US Worldcon bids because
    they use the Worldcon as an excuse or impetus for some foreign
    travel.

    The people organizing it have a lot of expirience with congresses.
    The organize every other year the world famous BENELUX-con's
